Financial aid mini-conference can help “finance your future”11th October 2011

NEW ALBANY, IN (Oct. 11, 2011) – Solve the paying for college puzzle at Indiana University Southeast. “Financing Your Future,” a mini-conference hosted by the IU Southeast Office of Financial Aid, is designed to help parents and students figure out how to make college more affordable. The “Financing Your Future” mini-conference will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 18, in the IU Southeast Conference Center.

IU Southeast Earns NAIA Champions of Character Five Star Award5th October 2011

NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Indiana University Southeast was named to the list of Five Star Champions of Character award winners for the 2010-11 school year. The Grenadiers were the highest scoring member institution from the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athlete Conference with 82 points. The KIAC was one of 23 conferences that were honored as Five Star conferences.

Former Grenadier Jazzmarr Ferguson signs contract with Canadian basketball franchise22nd September 2011

NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Former Grenadier standout Jazzmarr Ferguson has signed a one-year contract with the Moncton (New Brunswick) Miracles of the National Basketball League of Canada. Ferguson will head north of the border sometime in October. Moncton is one of four expansion franchises in the NBL this season. The Miracles first game is Oct. 29 against Quebec.

IU Southeast School of Business to host annual golf scramble19th September 2011

NEW ALBANY, IN (Sept. 19, 2011) – The Indiana University Southeast School of Business is hosting its annual golf scramble to support student scholarships and School of Business student organizations and programming. The 2011 IU Southeast School of Business Golf Scramble will be held Sept. 30 at Valley View Golf Club in Floyd Knobs, Ind. Registration begins at 7 a.m. with a continental breakfast. The scramble begins at 8 a.m. on a shotgun start.

IU Southeast students team with community group to raise Down syndrome awareness15th September 2011

NEW ALBANY, IN (Sept. 14, 2011) – An Indiana University Southeast student group is co-hosting the 3rd annual “Celebrate Our Capabilities Talent Show and Walk” to promote positive awareness for individuals with Down syndrome. Allies, an IU Southeast student group whose goal is to create alliances in the community to increase awareness of Down syndrome and other disabilities, has joined forces with the Down Syndrome Support Association of Southern Indiana for the 2011 walk and talent show.

IU Southeast celebrates Constitution Day with colloquium14th September 2011

NEW ALBANY, IN (Sept. 14, 2011) – When celebrating First Amendment rights, it is easy to forget the five liberties given more than 200 years ago. The Indiana University Southeast Civil Liberties Union values these freedoms and is hosting a colloquium in honor of Constitution Day to help remember the value and importance of these liberties for Americans today. The colloquium will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 15, in the IU Southeast Library. It will focus on the First Amendment as it pertains to the free exercise clause and the establishment clause.

IU Southeast School of Business Offers Workshop for Local Entrepreneurs14th September 2011

NEW ALBANY, IN (Sept. 12, 2011) – Developing great entrepreneurial skills takes work, time, and creative thinking. In a workshop offered by the School of Business at Indiana University Southeast, interested entrepreneurs can strengthen their skills while designing their own business plan. The IU Southeast School of Business and the Regional Economic Development Resource Center (REDRC) are hosting “Building Your Entrepreneurial Skills: Prepare a Roadmap to Success.”
