NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Former Grenadier standout Jazzmarr Ferguson has signed a one-year contract with the Moncton (New Brunswick) Miracles of the National Basketball League of Canada.

Ferguson will head north of the border sometime in October. Moncton is one of four expansion franchises in the NBL this season. The Miracles first game is Oct. 29 against Quebec.

“I am proud of Jazz for signing his first pro contract,” IU Southeast head coach Wiley Brown said. “I have not witnessed a player work as hard as he does. Jazz is a true professional how he carries himself on and off the court. He is a great ambassador for our basketball program and the entire IU Southeast community.”

Ferguson was a star player for the Grenadiers for four seasons from 2007-2011. He is IU Southeast’s all-time leading scorer with 2,042 points and holds the record for single-game points with 46 against Mid-Continent University last season. He averaged 24 points, four rebounds, and five assists during his senior season and he was an NAIA First Team All-American selection.
