INDIANAPOLIS — Budgets are tight. Good decisions are critical. A series of regional workshops designed to provide tools and techniques to measure economic impact can help community leaders determine the best investments for their communities’ economic future. Conducted at locations across Indiana this summer, the series’ next workshop will take place in New Albany.

IU Southeast workshop teaches teens how to build business2nd June 2011

NEW ALBANY, IN (May 20, 2011) – Teens can get a jumpstart on beginning their own business during an upcoming workshop sponsored by Indiana University Southeast.

Teens can identify and develop their entrepreneurial skills at the Youth/Adult Mentor Entrepreneur Workshop, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays from June 9 to Aug. 3, at the YMCA of Southern Indiana, 33 State Street in New Albany.

More than 1,000 students honored for academics at IU Southeast16th March 2011

NEW ALBANY, IN, (March 16, 2011) – Indiana University Southeast is proud to announce the members of the spring 2011 Dean’s List and Chancellor’s List.

To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. A Chancellor’s List student has received a 4.0 GPA.

For spring 2011, 240 students made the Chancellor’s List, while 914 students joined the Dean’s List.

Check out the newest member of the Grenadier family!11th February 2011

Faculty, staff, and students are welcome to stop by and view the latest Grenadier to arrive on campus. Renowned wood carver Jason Emmons created a one-of-a-kind wood sculpture of a life-size Grenadier during Homecoming weekend. The carving is now on display in the breezeway of University Center South.

IU Southeast Chancellor named to Backside Learning Center Board17th November 2010

NEW ALBANY, IN (Nov. 9, 2010) – Indiana University Southeast Chancellor Sandra R. Patterson-Randles has been named to the board of directors at the Backside Learning Center at Churchill Downs. The Backside Learning Center is the nation’s only comprehensive educational facility at a racetrack and enhances the lives of equine workers by providing education, life skill resources, and a welcoming community.
