NEW ALBANY, IN (Aug. 22, 2011) – The Indiana University Board of Trustees has approved the request for an additional lodge to be built at IU Southeast. The board voted unanimously to approve the building at the Aug. 19 Board of Trustees meeting in Indianapolis. It will become the sixth lodge on the New Albany campus.

FULL STORYNEW ALBANY, IN, (May 5, 2011) – Indiana University Southeast’s largest graduating class will become the school’s newest alumni at the 43rd Commencement next week. Commencement ceremonies will be held at 4 p.m., Monday, May 9, at the IU Southeast Amphitheater. The Class of 2011 is made up of 1,151 students, including 1,104 who will receive their degrees from IU on Monday and 47 who will receive their degrees at a separate ceremony held by Purdue University College of Technology.

Kramer, director of the Institute for Local and Oral History at Indiana University Southeast and a long-time historian of southern Indiana and the Greater Louisville Metropolitan Region, will conduct an oral history workshop at the Jeffersonville Township Public Library from 9:30 a.m. to noon, Thursday, Feb. 24.
FULL STORYNEW ALBANY, IN, (Feb. 1, 2011) – The “Father of Supply Side Economics” will share his business sense with Indiana University Southeast during the second annual Sanders Speaker Series. Arthur B. Laffer will be the keynote speaker at 6 p.m., Feb. 22, at the Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center at IU Southeast. Laffer is a world-renowned economist and the founder and chairman of Laffer Associates and Laffer Investments. He was deemed the “The Father of Supply-Side Economics” for his work contributing to a world-wide tax-cutting movement in the 1980s.
