IU Southeast business students win stock competition

NEW ALBANY, IN, (Feb. 25, 2011) – A group of Indiana University Southeast students took first place in an investment research challenge championship.

The IU Southeast School of Business student team won the Chartered Financial Analysts Society of Louisville’s Investment Research Challenge held Feb. 24 in Louisville. The international competition is a stock research contest that gathers students, investment industry professionals, publicly traded companies, and corporate sponsors together locally, regionally, and globally for a real world competition.

The local contest consisted of teams from four universities: IU Southeast, IU Bloomington, University of Louisville, and Western Kentucky University.  The IU Southeast team will move on to the Americas Regional Final in Omaha, Neb., in April.

IU Southeast School of Business students Chris Lefevre, Dennis Hillen, Gabe Riggs, Delbert Endres, and Nick Chitwood represented IU Southeast. The IU Southeast team has placed first, second, and first in the last three years, respectively.
