Danger Run owner, recent IU Southeast grad, puts heart (and horror) into his jobs25th October 2012

NEW ALBANY, IN, (Oct. 25, 2012) – As night falls, Michael Book (B.S. ’11) takes off his rubber gloves after performing heart surgery. It’s time for his night job, where the IU Southeast alum may just end up with more blood on his hands.

Sure, the daytime heart surgeries are on mice and the nighttime blood is a mixture of corn syrup and red food coloring, but Book doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty.

As somewhat of a modern-day Jekyll and Hyde, Book spends his days researching cardiology at the University of Louisville and his nights scaring the Louisville region as co-owner of the Danger Run haunted house scavenger hunt.

Saddle up for IU Southeast’s Wild, Wild Advising Week18th September 2012

NEW ALBANY, IN, (Sept. 18, 2012) – Get ready for a wild west week of advising with Indiana University Southeast.The University is hosting Wild, Wild Week of Advising from Sept. 24-27. During advising week, students can learn about registration appointments, how to schedule spring 2013 classes, and how to contact their advisor to set up an advising appointment.

IU Southeast Student Veterans ask University community to support troops at memorial13th September 2012

NEW ALBANY, IN (Sept. 13, 2012) – The Indiana University Southeast Student Veterans Organization wants the University community and the local region to support the troops by attending a tribute to veterans this week. The SVO is encouraging students, faculty, staff, and the community to attend the American Veterans Traveling Tribute Vietnam Wall in Clarksville from Wed. Sept. 12 through Sun. Sept. 16. The Wall will be on display and all events will be held in front of Clarksville Town Hall.

IU Southeast begins cadet/officer program19th July 2012

NEW ALBANY, IN, (July 19, 2012) – Indiana University Southeast is looking for a good cadet. The Indiana University Police Department is bringing the Cadet/Officer Program to the IU Southeast campus. The program gives current students the ability to gain law enforcement experience while working at the University Police department.
