IU Southeast students head back to the classrooms

NEW ALBANY, IN (Aug. 24, 2012) –Students at Indiana University Southeast are heading back to campus.

Fall 2012 classes begin Monday, Aug. 27.

The Office of Campus Life will welcome all students back to campus with a week’s worth of activities.

Week of Welcome begins Monday, Aug. 27, with Donuts and Directions at 7:30 a.m., followed by free lunch and music at noon sponsored by the Christian Student Fellowship.

More Donuts and Directions are available Tuesday, Aug. 28, at 7:30 a.m. At noon, the Week of Welcome sponsors Diversity Day, with free lunch and music. At 7 p.m, the Show Off Show will bring laughs and comedy to Meadow Lodge.

Wednesday, Aug. 29, Chancellor Sandra R. Patterson-Randles is treating everyone to a morning meal at the Chancellor’s Pancake Breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. The campus’ sororities and fraternities are providing free lunch at noon for Greek Day.

The Student Program Council and Student Alumni Association are hosting free lunch and music at noon Thursday, Aug. 30, and the Student Veterans are hosting a family picnic at 4 p.m. The Campus Boogie is at 7 p.m.

Finally, take a trip to Worldfest 2012 on Friday, Aug. 31. Interested students can join their IU Southeast peers on a bus trip to Worldfest on the Belvedere in Louisville. Enjoy music on three stages, food vendors and crafts. The bus leaves McCullough Plaza at 5:30 p.m. and returns by 9:30 p.m. Students can sign up in Campus Life, UC 010 or call (812) 941-2316.
