Mr. Claus could rest easily this past year, knowing that IU Southeast’s Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) Society and Viviant helped provide gifts to a few families this Christmas. Every year since 1972, around mid-November, Kappa Delta Pi accepts applications from IU Southeast students who are in need during the holiday season.
FULL STORYNEW ALBANY, IN (Nov. 10, 2011) – Indiana University Southeast is hosting a conference this weekend to help teachers with best practices and strategies for teaching English as a new language. The English Language Learners Conference will be held Nov. 11 and 12 at IU Southeast. Administrators, K-12 teachers, school counselors, pre-service teachers, and other individuals working with school-age, non-native English speakers are invited to attend.

Myra Powell, principal of William W. Borden Elementary School in Borden, Ind., is one of 62 outstanding elementary and middle school principals who were named 2010 National Distinguished Principals by the National Association of Elementary School Principals.
