Kappa Delta Pi shows the true meaning of giving2nd January 2013

NEW ALBANY, IN (Jan. 2, 2013) – During the holiday season, everyone could use a little help – even Santa. Mr. Claus could rest easily this past year, knowing that IU Southeast’s Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) Society and Viviant helped provide gifts to a few families this Christmas. Every year since 1972, around mid-November, Kappa Delta Pi accepts applications from IU Southeast students who are in need during the holiday season.

IU Southeast to host English Language Learners Conference10th November 2011

NEW ALBANY, IN (Nov. 10, 2011) – Indiana University Southeast is hosting a conference this weekend to help teachers with best practices and strategies for teaching English as a new language. The English Language Learners Conference will be held Nov. 11 and 12 at IU Southeast. Administrators, K-12 teachers, school counselors, pre-service teachers, and other individuals working with school-age, non-native English speakers are invited to attend.

IU Southeast alumna named a National Distinguished Principal20th October 2010

NEW ALBANY, IN (Oct. 20, 2010) – An Indiana University Southeast alumna has been named a National Distinguished Principal.

Myra Powell, principal of William W. Borden Elementary School in Borden, Ind., is one of 62 outstanding elementary and middle school principals who were named 2010 National Distinguished Principals by the National Association of Elementary School Principals.
