IU Southeast professor discovers link between entitled employees, bully bosses, and bad behavior23rd September 2013

NEW ALBANY, IN, (Sept. 17, 2013) – A sense of entitlement at work could lead to more than just a bad attitude at the office. Recent research from Indiana University Southeast indicates that entitlement leads to employees believing they have a bully boss which in turn results in some form of payback. IU Southeast Associate Professor of Management Kenneth Harris discovered a strong correlation between employees who believe they are entitled and abusive supervision.

Local alumni couple establishes two scholarships at IU Southeast1st March 2013

NEW ALBANY, IN, (March 1, 2013) – Norman and Millicent Stiefler keep the value of family and the value of education close to their hearts. The Louisville couple, who are both IU alumni, recently found a way to recognize both by creating two new student scholarship funds at Indiana University Southeast in honor of Norman Stiefler’s parents. The scholarships are available to students seeking higher education in the fields of dentistry/medicine and business.

Is your boss a bully? IU Southeast study shows direct reports aren’t the only victims9th February 2013

The study, co-authored by IU Southeast business professors Ken Harris and Ranida Harris, examined the effects of abusive supervision among hundreds of employees in various fields.

IU Southeast School of Business places among top business schools in nation for eighth straight year27th November 2012

IU Southeast hosting Graduate Business information sessions5th October 2012

NEW ALBANY, IN, (Oct. 5, 2012) – The Indiana University Southeast School of Business is hosting two information sessions for students interested in graduate business programs.The first session will be 6:30-8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 8, in the IU Southeast Library. The second session will be 10-11:30 a.m. at the Graduate Center in Jeffersonville. Interested participants need only attend one session.
