A series of regional workshops designed to provide tools and techniques to measure economic impact can help community leaders determine the best investments for their communities’ economic future. Conducted at locations across Indiana this summer, the series’ next workshop will take place in New Albany.

Teens can identify and develop their entrepreneurial skills at the Youth/Adult Mentor Entrepreneur Workshop, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays from June 9 to Aug. 3, at the YMCA of Southern Indiana, 33 State Street in New Albany.

FULL STORYNEW ALBANY, IN, (Feb. 1, 2011) – The “Father of Supply Side Economics” will share his business sense with Indiana University Southeast during the second annual Sanders Speaker Series. Arthur B. Laffer will be the keynote speaker at 6 p.m., Feb. 22, at the Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center at IU Southeast. Laffer is a world-renowned economist and the founder and chairman of Laffer Associates and Laffer Investments. He was deemed the “The Father of Supply-Side Economics” for his work contributing to a world-wide tax-cutting movement in the 1980s.
