Dirt Bags Art Club
The Dirt Bags Art Club intends to bring awareness of the arts to the IU Southeast campus and the community. Our initiatives include bringing visiting artists and lecturers to campus, organizing group activities for students to enhance their education in the arts, providing support for studio equipment for the IU Southeast Fine Art Program, and promoting outreach about the arts to local schools. Members of the group benefit from a more in-depth education in the arts, as well as a better sense of camaraderie within the IU Southeast art community and more experience gaining teamwork and communication skills.
Modern Languages
French Club
If you are learning French or would like to maintain your French skills or learn more about the Francophone world, you should consider participating in the French Club. It is a great opportunity to explore the language and cultures where French is spoken, ranging from France to Canada to the Caribbean and Africa. For information about the French Club, contact Dr. Mindy Badía
Spanish Club
Students of Spanish and those interested in practicing, improving, or maintaining their Spanish-language skills are invited to join the Spanish Club. The club engages in a variety of social activities, including dining at some of the restaurants in the area that feature cuisine from the Spanish-speaking world. For information on how to become involved with the Spanish Club, contact Dr. Amy Zink
International Student Organization
All students at IU Southeast - those with an international background, but also any internationally-interested students are invited to participate in the International Student Organization. It is a great opportunity to learn about other cultures through social interaction with people from other countries or maybe have studied or worked in another country or those who are merely interested in mutually learning about other cultures. The ISO participates each year in the International Festival and other campus events in order to inform the campus community about the international diversity on our campus. The ISO also has international movie nights, pizza parties, and international potluck/pitch-in dinners. If you are international or internationally interested, come and join the fun!
