IU Southeast noncredit course offers opportunity to write your life11th August 2011

NEW ALBANY, IN (Aug. 3, 2011) – He was a loving father. As a young woman, she wrote poetry and loved to knit. He loved to travel. She worked for the Pillsbury Co. for 37 years.

When writing about the life of a loved one who has passed, obituaries can be crafted to reflect exactly why we hope to be remembered. What would you want yours to say?

Through Indiana University Southeast’s Division of Continuing Studies Noncredit Programs, your life can be remembered exactly the way you want. More importantly, you can live your life so you will be remembered. In Write Your Own Obituary, students will explore how writing their own obituary can lead to planning and living a richer, more rewarding life.


Get a taste of Indiana brews at the Ogle Center’s 2011 Bier Prost4th August 2011

NEW ALBANY, IN (Aug. 4, 2011) – The Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center at Indiana University Southeast will showcase the Hoosier Art of Brewing through a tasting of the finest beers and wines from local breweries and wineries throughout the state of Indiana at the 2001 Bier Prost. The Bier Prost will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, Aug. 26, at Horseshoe Casino Indiana. The event is a fundraiser for the Ogle Center and will offer local wines and craft beer from regional breweries paired with international foods. Guests will receive a limited edition tasting mug.


Blueprint for Student Attainment in place at IU Southeast and other regional campuses4th August 2011

NEW ALBANY, IN (Aug. 4, 2011) – A new plan in place at Indiana University’s regional campuses puts emphasis on student attainment and the role of the regional universities. Indiana University’s Blueprint for Student Attainment leads students at IU’s regional campuses – including IU Southeast – toward greater success while addressing the growing importance of the regional campuses to the state and regions they serve.


IU Southeast launches new website2nd August 2011

NEW ALBANY, IN (Aug. 2, 2011) – There’s a new look at Indiana University Southeast launched its new homepage today. The site features dropdown navigation, video, and social networking links. In addition to the new homepage, website visitors will see upgrades on the Admissions, Advising, Financial Aid, Registrar, Bursar, Accounting Services, and UCard pages.


IU Southeast Alumni Association presents Night at the Bats11th July 2011

NEW ALBANY, IN (July 8, 2011) – Bring on the peanuts, popcorn, and Cracker Jack for IU Southeast Alumni Association’s annual Night at the Bats baseball game. Alumni of the University are invited to bring the entire family to watch as the Louisville Bats take on the Charlotte Knights on Friday, July 22 at Louisville Slugger Field. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the game starts at 7:05 p.m.
