IU Southeast basketball team donates 25 bikes to needy children21st December 2011

NEW ALBANY, IN, (Dec. 21, 2011) – The Indiana University Southeast men’s basketball team had a new game plan this week. Instead of focusing on stealing balls, they concentrated on giving gifts. The Grenadiers, led by Head Coach Wiley Brown, partnered with the New Albany-Floyd County Parks Department to provide brand new bicycles to 25 children in need.

IU Southeast partners with Horseshoe Foundation for Student Investment Fund16th December 2011

NEW ALBANY, IN, (Dec. 16, 2011) – Indiana University Southeast is partnering with the Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County on an innovative project to establish a student investment fund that provides real-world learning experience in investment portfolio management. The Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County Student Investment Fund is being established in the IU Southeast School of Business with a $100,000 fund from the foundation.

Statewide conference to explore reciprocity in community and university partnerships8th November 2011

NEW ALBANY, IN (Nov. 8, 2011) – The most effective university and community partnerships are a two-way street. How do we define best practices in building strong, reciprocal partnerships? What roles do such partnerships play in addressing the Hoosier Brain Drain? Faculty, students, staff, and the community can be part of the conversation during the University Partnerships and Reciprocity Conference from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, Nov. 14. Participants can attend the conference in person at IUPUI or can join in via video conference from IU campuses across the state, including IU Southeast.
