IU Southeast centers support Harrison County history project2nd October 2012

NEW ALBANY, IN, (Oct. 2, 2012) – When did your family come here? Where did they come from? What language did they speak? Were they Native American, English, French, German, Irish, Scottish, African-American, Mexican, Chinese, Vietnamese, or something different? The public is invited to explore all these questions at the free preview of “The World Comes to Harrison County” at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 11, at the Harrison County Community Foundation, 1523 Foundation Way NE, Corydon, Ind. The Center for Cultural Resources at IU Southeast joined Community Unity to prepare the project which was funded by a grant from Harrison County Community Foundation.

IU Southeast Chancellor to discuss leadership changes, enrollment at State of Campus address5th September 2012

NEW ALBANY, IN (Sept. 4, 2012) – Indiana University Southeast Chancellor Sandra R. Patterson-Randles will deliver the 2012 State of the Campus address this week. The address will be held at the annual Faculty/Staff Meeting at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 6, in Stem Concert Hall at the Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center at IU Southeast.

Medal of Honor recipient to share story with IU Southeast20th April 2012

NEW ALBANY, IN, (April 20, 2012) – World War II veteran and Medal of Honor recipient Marine Corporal Hershel “Woody” Williams will share his war stories and how he earned the Medal of Honor with Indiana University Southeast and the community during Victory Week. Williams’ presentation will be from 6-7 p.m., April 26, in the Stem Theater at the Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center, as part of the Student Veterans Organization’s Victory Week.
