NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Thanks to a grant from the Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County, IU Southeast’s School of Business will continue to host “Breakfast, Books & Business,” a breakfast series designed to educate small business owners, leaders and employees on the latest techniques in management, marketing, human resources
The next event, “Veterans, Why we Should Hire Them and How to Find Them,” will be presented by Trace Chesser, manager of the Career Transition program for USA Cares, on Thursday, Jan. 24 from 7:30-9 a.m. at the University Center North, room 127 on IU Southeast’s campus. Each attendee will receive a complimentary book, “Essential HR Handbook: A Quick and Handy Resource for Any Manager or HR Professional” by Barbara Mitchell and Sharon Armstrong.
Individuals who are involved in a small business are welcome to attend. Pre-registration is required. Participants can register for the events online. The events are free. However, donations are encouraged to help support the continuation of the series.
