Star of A&E’s “Duck Dynasty” Willie Robertson to discuss entrepreneurship at IU Southeast

NEW ALBANY, Ind.  – The CEO of Duck Commander on A&E’s reality television series, “Duck Dynasty,” will serve as this year’s speaker for the First Savings Bank Business Speaker Series at Indiana University Southeast.

Willie Robertson, businessman, outdoorsman, hunter, speaker and author will discuss his unique insights into the world of entrepreneurship at 7 p.m. on Oct. 9 as part of the First Savings Bank Speaker Series in the Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center at IU Southeast.

Robertson’s company, Duck Commander, is not only the brand of the best-selling duck call nationwide, but also a popular trademark for apparel, hunting gear, wine, foods, spices and more. Robertson took his Dad’s small business and turned it into a multi-million-dollar company and a premier destination for all things outdoors.

In addition to executive producing A&E’s “Duck Dynasty” and the Outdoor Channel’s “Buck Commander,” Robertson is a New York Times bestselling author of “The Duck Commander Family: How Faith Family and Ducks Built a Dynasty,” “American Hunter” and “American Fisherman.” The Robertson family also have a platinum-selling Christmas album, “Duck the Halls.”

The First Savings Bank Business Speaker Series was founded in partnership with IU Southeast through the generosity of First Savings Bank. First Savings Bank’s vision is to improve education in the state of Indiana by establishing a speaker series that engages students, faculty and the business community of southern Indiana and to advance the mission of Indiana University Southeast.
