Nine IU Southeast students receive scholarship from the Harrison County Hospital Foundation

NEW ALBANY, Ind. – IU Southeast has named nine student recipients of the Harrison County Hospital Foundation Scholarship, awarded to students in a health care curriculum who live in Harrison County.

The scholarship program was developed in 1989, and annual scholarships have been awarded since. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be residents of Harrison County, studying nursing, allied health or a health care related curriculum. Students must also have a good academic record and show school and community involvement. Students can apply at one.IU.edu. They must be admitted to IU Southeast and have a student username and passphrase.

“The mission of the Harrison County Hospital Foundation is to enhance the hospital’s ability to serve the people of our community,” said Sheryl Voelker, foundation development coordinator. “We award scholarships to students who will, hopefully, return to our community and continue our mission of serving the people of our community by providing excellent healthcare.”

Each student will receive $1,500 for the 2018-19 academic year. The recipients are listed below:
