NEW ALBANY — Indiana University Southeast is pleased to announce the details of Commencement 2016. This year’s ceremony will be held Monday, May 9, 2016, at 6:45 p.m. at Freedom Hall at the Kentucky Exposition Center, 937 Phillips Lane, near the Louisville International Airport.
Freedom Hall was selected to host the school’s graduation ceremony in order to accommodate larger groups in greater comfort and convenience. There will not be any ticketing or guest limit at this venue. The Kentucky Exposition Center has more than 19,000 parking spaces. Parking is $8 for cars. A celebration in honor of IU Southeast graduates will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016, from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County Amphitheatre on the IU Southeast campus. Weather permitting, the picnic is open to graduates and their families, and will feature live music by the Louisville Crashers, giveaways and more. The event is free, but registration is required at ius.edu/bash.
