NEW ALBANY, Ind. (April 8, 2015) – Filling the Talent Gap in Supply Chain Management, an interactive breakfast workshop for supply chain and operations management professionals, will be held Friday, April 17, 2015, from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. in the Hoosier Room at IU Southeast.

Sharon Rice, vice president of strategy for APICS, the Association for Supply Chain and Operations Management, will facilitate the workshop, which will address the growth of the supply chain management industry, and the availability of approximately 250,000 job openings for supply chain managers in the coming decade, according to the 2014 APICS employment survey.

As vice president of strategy, Rice oversees the overall strategic direction of APICS to maximize growth and profitability. She is responsible for the project management office and has also served as executive director of the APICS Foundation.
