Medallion Dinner moved to Spring 2015

21st July 2014

NEW ALBANY, Ind. (July 21, 2014) – The Chancellor’s Medallion Dinner, IU Southeast’s flagship donor event, and the premier fundraising event in Southern Indiana, has been moved from its usual occurrence in the Fall to now take place the following Spring.

This year’s fundraiser will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Horseshoe Southern Indiana.

In addition to dinner and live and silent auctions, the annual gathering will recognize outstanding community leaders with the Chancellor’s Medallion and provide scholarships to deserving students.

The Chancellor’s Medallion is the highest honor presented by the Chancellor of Indiana University Southeast. It is awarded to individuals who have rendered distinguished service to the campus and to the community, have given their talents in the promotion of human welfare and community well-being, and who, through their integrity, sensitivity and commitment, serve as models for students and alumni of IU Southeast. To date, 39 of these awards have been presented.

In addition to our honorees, outstanding students are also recognized for their academic achievement and leadership potential. The Chancellor’s Medallion Leadership Scholarship is available to students who will be a senior in the upcoming academic year and who will be enrolled full-time.

Over the past decade, the Chancellor’s Medallion Dinner has evolved into one of Southern Indiana’s premier civic events—and a major source of scholarship funding for outstanding Indiana University Southeast students. The 2013 Medallion Dinner drew more than 500 attendees, and raised more than $125,000. This year’s event is expected to draw the same prestige.

As the event approaches, more detailed information will be made available. Please contact the IU Southeast Office of Development at (812) 941-2464 with any questions.
