In an unexpected visit, Professor Nihal Oren from the Mediterranean University in Antalya, Turkey, showed up at Carducci’s to discuss plans of publishing his book, The Shyness Workbook: 30 Days to Dealing Effectively with Shyness, in her native country.

“Shyness is a problem all over the world,” Carducci said.

Oren and Carducci originally met through email when the Turkish professor contacted Carducci because she was interested in his shyness research. When Carducci informed her that much of the research was contained in The Shyness Workbook, Oren took it to ANI Publishing, a Turkish company, which immediately agreed to publish the work and asked Oren to translate it.

Oren believes the translated book will be beneficial to the people of Turkey. Carducci has had several books published in multiple languages, but this will be the first book published in Turkish. Additionally, The Shyness Workbook will soon be available in Arabic, he said.
