IU Southeast Student Alumni Association sponsors Nearly Naked Mile

27th September 2013

NEW ALBANY, IN (Sept. 27, 2013) – Put on your running shoes – and not much else – for the fourth annual Nearly Naked Mile at Indiana University Southeast.

Join the IU Southeast Student Alumni Association (SAA) for this year’s Nearly Naked Mile fundraiser and the opportunity to win prizes, scholarships, and bragging rights for best costume.

The SAA,  Pi Kappa Alpha and Alpha Phi will co-sponsor the race on Oct. 3, 2013 (rain date: Oct. 10, 2013) from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Please note the “nearly” part of the Nearly Naked Mile means participants must cover all areas a bathing suit would cover.

The event is free for SAA members. If you are not a member of SAA, membership is available for $5. Check-in starts at 8 p.m. in McCullough Plaza, by the clock tower, with costume judging at 8:35 p.m. and the run will begin at 8:45 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded for the first place male and female runners, male and female best costumes, and student organization with highest attendance. Additionally, four $50 Scholarships will be awarded by random drawing.

You can Sponsor-A-Mile for up to $100. All of the proceeds raised from Sponsor-A-Mile will go to the Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.
