Check out the Summer Pops Concert at IU Southeast

NEW ALBANY, IN, (June 7, 2013) – The Music Department at Indiana University Southeast will present the IU Southeast Concert Band in a Summer Pops Concert on Sunday, June 9 at 3 p.m. in the Richard K. Stem Concert Hall of the Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center on the IU Southeast campus.

Under the direction of Philip Thomas, the program will include: “Hands Across the Sea March” by John Philip Sousa, “Irish Tune From County Derry” by Percy Aldridge Grainger, “American Civil War Fantasy” by Jerry H. Blick, “Benny Goodman: The King of Swing” arranged by Paul Murtha, “Music From The Incredibles” by Michael Giacchino, “Dartmoor, 912” (from WAR HORSE) by John Williams, and Symphonic Suite From “Star Trek” by Michael Giacchino and Alexander Courage.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students, seniors, and IU Southeast faculty and staff, and are available at the Ogle Center ticket office or by calling (812) 941-2526.

Free parking is available in the Dogwood lot directly in front of the Ogle Center. Vehicles parked in other lots on campus will be subject to ticketing.
