Spring Luau set for IU Southeast students

29th January 2013

NEW ALBANY, IN (Jan. 29, 2013) – The Office of Residence Life and Housing is bringing a little taste of the tropics to IU Southeast with its next student event.

Residence Life will host its annual Spring Luau at 8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 31, in Meadow Lodge.

“We’re really excited about this year’s Luau,” Community Adviser Cory Dixon said, “We decided to go with more games than we have in the past because we think residents will respond to that more than the dancing.”

The games this year will Bocce Ball, Corn Hole, Limbo, Hawaiian Pictionary, and other island-inspired party games. The event will also be host to a variety of tropically inspired drinks and refreshments.

“I’m in charge of corn hole and I couldn’t be more excited,” Community Adviser Stephon Moore said, “This is my first year being a part of hosting the Luau and I think students will really enjoy themselves.”

The event is free of charge and will end at 11 p.m. All students are invited to attend.
