IU Southeast to close Noncredit Programs3rd April 2012
NEW ALBANY, IN, (April 3, 2012) – Beginning July 1, Indiana University Southeast will phase out Noncredit Programs. The department of Noncredit Programs is part of IU Southeast’s Continuing Studies division and has allowed the University to serve the community by offering not-for-credit business and industry training, general interest programs, and children’s classes. The decision to end Noncredit Programs is a result of Indiana University’s closure of the School of Continuing Studies and is due to the financial constraints confronting higher education in the state. The closure will not affect the bachelor’s degree in general studies that is currently housed in Continuing Studies.
