IU Southeast parking policies to change July 1

29th June 2012

NEW ALBANY, IN, (June 29, 2012) – On July 1, 2012, IU Southeast will implement changes to its University parking policy.

Daily parking passes (available for $1 per day to visitors and those without a permit) will be valid in the red zone (student parking) at any time. Daily passes will only be valid in the blue zone (faculty and staff parking) after 6 p.m. or on weekends.

Additionally, many ticket fees – including those for not having a permit or parking in the wrong zone – will be raised to $15.

Upon appeal, University Police will waive ONE “No Valid Permit” or “Improper Display” citation per calendar year if the student, faculty, or staff member had a valid permit prior to receiving the citation.

The best way for students, faculty, and staff to park at IU Southeast is to purchase a University parking permit, available at the University Police department in University Center North.
