Stonecipher is responsible for directing the residence life program on campus for the nearly 400 students who live on campus and managing IU Southeast’s five lodges. A groundbreaking for the University’s sixth lodge will be held April 25.
“I wanted to be at IU Southeast because the campus is very dynamic and still transforming to have more of a residential feel,” Stonecipher said. “I am excited to be part of the groundbreaking for our new lodge and to help develop traditions and continue involvement for our residential students. My role is to help our students succeed and living on campus plays a big part in that.”
Before coming to IU Southeast, Stonecipher was the assistant director of residence life at Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville. She had previously worked at the University of Illinois at Chicago as the Resident Director.
Stonecipher earned a B.A. in Sociology from DePaul University and an M.A. in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
Her first day at IU Southeast was April 16.
