Global cuisine featured at the annual IU Southeast International Festival

NEW ALBANY, IN (Feb. 29, 2012) – Beat the mild winter blues with an exotic taste of the world at the annual Indiana University Southeast International Festival.

With featured cuisines from around the globe, students, staff, and community are invited to celebrate from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 6, in the lower level of the University Center North.

During the evening, a full program of music and dancing will entertain guests as they sample dishes from Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America, all of which will be prepared by IU Southeast’s Conference and Catering. Representatives from a range of internationally-focused, local organizations will also be in attendance to discuss cuisine, culture, and more.

Enjoy the experience of overseas travel close to home. Tickets are $7 for general admission and $5 for students and senior citizens. They will be sold at the door on the day of the event. All proceeds benefit the IU Southeast Overseas Study Scholarship Fund.

The International Festival is made possible through financial support from campus sponsors including International Programs and the Student Program Council.
