IU Southeast receives Operation Diploma grant

NEW ALBANY, IN (Jan. 4, 2012) – For the third year in a row, Indiana University Southeast has received a grant from Operation Diploma to assist the University in its efforts to support military service members, student veterans, and their families.

The $2,000 grant will help the IU Southeast Student Veterans Organization establish a series of workshops aimed towards helping student veterans with educational goals, sponsor a community 5K run to increase awareness of veterans issues, and host a social designed to increase communication between the SVO and the community.

The Operations Diploma grant was made possible through Lilly Endowment Inc. Operation Diploma is an initiative of the Military Family Research Institute at Purdue University.
