NEW ALBANY, IN (July 27, 2011) – Several Indiana University Southeast faculty members received promotions and tenure in July.

Thirteen faculty members received promotions ranging from senior lecturer to professor, while six of those faculty members also were granted tenure.

• Carolyn Babione was promoted to Professor of Education.
• Neil Brewer was promoted to Senior Lecturer in Education.
• Brenda Hackett was promoted to Senior Lecturer in Nursing.
• Kenneth J. Harris received tenure and was promoted to Associate Professor in Business Management.
• George W. Harvey received tenure and was promoted to Associate Professor in Philosophy.
• Magdalena Herdoiza-Estevez was promoted to Professor of Education and International Studies.
• Sandra Johnson was promoted to Senior Lecturer in Biology.
• Laura McIlvoy received tenure was promoted to Associate Professor in Nursing.
• Janice McMahan was promoted to Associate Professor in Nursing.
• Rebecca Meixner received tenure and was promoted to Associate Professor in Theatre.
• Judith G. Myers received tenure and was promoted to Associate Professor in Nursing.
• Charles Pooser received tenure and was promoted to Associate Professor in French and International Studies.
• Jacquelyn D. Reid was promoted to Professor of Nursing.
