22nd October 2010

NEW ALBANY, IN (Oct. 22, 2010) – Jump on a trolley and join Indiana University Southeast Fine Arts students for a showing of “Set in Motion” at Zephyr Gallery.

The showing will take place at the First Friday Trolley Hop on Friday Nov. 5, from 7-9 p.m. at 610 East Market Street in Louisville. It is the students’ capstone project.

Each of the students, who will graduate in the spring, will participate in an outdoor viewing of their stop motion animations, They each produced a one-minute animation with subjects including the Louisville skyline, an apple tree, and leaving a house.

For example, Alex Kennedy, a painter, animates getting up in the morning, dressing, and leaving home for the day to explore revealing private moments in a public space. Alicia Osbourne, who is earning her degree in graphic design, will show the effects of the seasons and weather on an apple tree. Angela Stucker, who is studying ceramics, will animate clay to reveal the Louisville skyline.
