NEW ALBANY, IN, (Oct. 13, 2010) – A limited number of tickets remain available for the Indiana University Southeast 2010 Chancellor’s Medallion Dinner.
The Chancellor’s Medallion Dinner will be held Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010 at Horseshoe Southern Indiana. The silent auction begins at 5:30 p.m. and dinner is at 7 p.m. This year’s dinner will again be emceed by Wayne Perkey, former WHAS Radio personality.

This year’s event honors two deserving recipients: Jack Koetter, Chief Executive Officer of the Koetter Group, and Jim Morris, former basketball coach and athletic director at IU Southeast.
The Chancellor’s Medallion is the highest honor presented by the Chancellor of Indiana University Southeast. It is given to individuals who have rendered distinguished service to the University and to the community, have given their talents in the promotion of human welfare and community well-being, and who – through their integrity, sensitivity, and commitment – serve as models for students and alumni of IU Southeast.
Proceeds from the Chancellor’s Medallion Dinner go to the Chancellor’s Medallion Leadership Scholarship program. The scholarships recognize students for participation and leadership in academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and community volunteerism.
Medallion Leadership Scholarship Recipients
The 2010 Chancellor’s Medallion Leadership Scholarship recipients are Mark Bickers, Pako Munoz, and Woody Zorn.
Bickers, a biology major, has consistently been a member of the Chancellor’s List since his arrival at IU Southeast. He hopes to attend medical or veterinary school after completing his undergraduate degree.
Munoz, who is earning his BFA in graphic design, came to IU Southeast from Mexico. He is a member of several student groups including the Student Program Council and the School of Arts and Letters Dean’s Council.
Zorn, a non-traditional student, is studying secondary education. In addition to his studies at IU Southeast, he coaches a high school speech team. He is a founding member of IU Southeast’s Speech and Debate Society.
