Cheers to the Ogle Center Bier Prost 2013

NEW ALBANY, IN, (March 16, 2013) – Raise your glass for the Paul W. Ogle Center’s Bier Prost 2013. The Ogle Center at Indiana University Southeast will host its annual Bier Prost at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 21. The event will be held at Horseshoe Southern Indiana, and include beer and wine, international food, and live entertainment.

“Hamlet” takes the stage at IU Southeast

NEW ALBANY, IN, (March 7, 2013) – Get ready for a ghostly good time when “Hamlet” premieres at Indiana University Southeast this weekend. The IU Southeast Theatre Department is producing the Shakespearean classic March 7-10 and March 14-17 at the Robinson Theater in the Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center at IU Southeast. Directed by Daniel R. Hill, adjunct lecturer in theatre, the show features IU Southeast junior Mitch Donahue as Hamlet.

Country music star Pam Tillis headlining show at Ogle Center

NEW ALBANY, IN, (Feb. 5, 2013) – Recording artist and country music powerhouse Pam Tillis will take center stage at the Ogle Center this Friday. Tillis will be performing songs from her brand new, self-made and produced album “Rhinestoned” on Friday, Feb. 8, at IU Southeast. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Baseball executive Billy Beane to speak at IU Southeast

NEW ALBANY, IN (Jan. 31, 2013) – Oakland A’s general manager and the subject of Moneyball is heading to Indiana University Southeast to share his innovative style of management and “Moneyball” methodology. Billy Beane will be the keynote speaker for the annual Sanders Speaker Series at 6 p.m., Feb. 12, at the Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center at IU Southeast.

Holiday Pops to ring in the season at IU Southeast

NEW ALBANY, IN, (Dec. 4, 2012) – Get a musical start to the holiday season with the annual Indiana University Southeast Holiday Pops concert.Enjoy seasonal favorites performed by the IU Southeast Orchestra, the IU Southeast Concert Band, and the IU Southeast Concert and Community Choir, on Dec. 8 and 9, at the Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center on campus.

Country artist Bobby Bare heads to Ogle Center

NEW ALBANY, IN, (Nov. 13, 2012) – Music legend Bobby Bare is bringing his blend of country music and storytelling to the Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center at Indiana University Southeast. He will perform at the Ogle Center at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 16 as part of the Nashville Nights series. Tickets are $26.50 or $10 for IU Southeast students.

IU Southeast presents The Black-Jew Dialogues at Ogle Center

NEW ALBANY, IN, (Jan. 26, 2012) – Actors Larry Jay Tish and Ron jones are bringing their innovative blend of humor and cultural literacy to the Indiana University Southeast stage. The two actors are the brains behind The Black-Jew Dialogues, a two-actor play on the history and absurdity of prejudice and racism and the power of diversity, that will be performed at IU Southeast on Jan. 31.
