NEW ALBANY, Ind. — Not only has Indiana University Southeast been ranked one of the safest college campuses in the nation, it has also been named one of the best values for students pursuing business degrees.

According to numbers compiled by Credit Sesame, IU Southeast ranks No. 93 on the “Best Schools for Your Buck” list among U.S. colleges. The university is one of two Indiana institutions on the list — the other being IU Bloomington (No. 72).

Credit Sesame factored the average income after graduation with a business degree against the estimated cost of obtaining the degree to calculate each university’s return on investment (RIO). IU Southeast’s RIO was 1.0073.

“Indiana University Southeast is the most affordable four-year public higher education option in the Louisville metro area, delivering Indiana University academic excellence, degrees and prestige at a price that makes it possible for a wide diversity of students to advance in their chosen fields,” Chancellor Ray Wallace told Credit Sesame. “We offer in-state tuition to residents of six Kentucky counties, often making IU Southeast a better value than reliance on Kentucky state assistance programs. We offer flexible scheduling and nearly 300 online courses to appeal to students with busy lives, including graduate students and adult learners. Finally, the IU alumni network, at 600,000 strong the nation’s third largest, stands ready to assist graduates with their next steps.”
