Donnelly Wears IU Southeast Jersey During Congressional Baseball Game

12th June 2015

NEW ALBANY, Ind. – Sen. Joe Donnelly suited up in an IU Southeast baseball jersey for the 54rd Annual Roll Call Congressional Baseball Game on Thursday night at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.

Donnelly, playing first baseman for the Democrats in the charity game, said he was proud to be representing the Grenadiers.

When contacted by Donnelly’s staff to see if any jerseys were available for the game, IU Southeast Athletics and the Grenadier baseball team were happy to accommodate the request.

“We were thrilled that Sen. Donnelly asked to wear a Grenadier jersey during part of tonight’s Congressional Baseball Game for charity,” IU Southeast Athletic Director Joe Glover said. “The game is for a great cause and it was great to see the Grenadiers represented in Washington.”
