Chancellor Wallace to take ALS ice bucket challenge

29th September 2014

Ice Bucket Challenge ImageVice Chancellor for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, Jason Meriwether, challenged Chancellor Ray Wallace to accept the ALS ice bucket challenge that has recently taken hold of social media outlets, and in the process, raised awareness and millions of dollars for an important cause.

Simultaneously, Chancellor Wallace is challenging student organizations and the campus community to get involved by raising money to support ALS. The student organization that raises the most money will have the privilege of dumping icy cold water on our new chancellor. Donations may be submitted to the Office of Campus Life, or brought to the event.

The ice bucket challenge will take place Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 12:15 p.m. in the Commons. The campus community is encouraged to come watch, and take part in the event that promises to be entertaining, while supporting a great cause.
