Limited tickets remain for 2013 Chancellor’s Medallion Dinner

10th October 2013

NEW ALBANY, IN, (Oct. 10, 2013) – A limited number of tickets remain available for the Indiana University Southeast 2013 Chancellor’s Medallion Dinner.

The event will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, at Horseshoe Southern Indiana. The silent auction begins at 5:30 p.m. and dinner is at 7 p.m.

The annual dinner honors outstanding students, community leaders, and serves as a fundraiser. This year’s Chancellor’s Medallion award recipients are Clementine “Tiny” Barthold and William “Bill” Ryall.

In addition to dinner and live and silent auctions, IU Southeast will provide scholarships to four deserving students at the 2013 Chancellor’s Medallion Dinner.

IU Southeast seniors Cassidy Gedling, Chelsey Lloyd, Bethany Nungester, and Kyle Sweetland are the 2013 recipients of the Chancellor’s Medallion Leadership Scholarship.

The Medallion Dinner also recognizes two outstanding community leaders with the Chancellor’s Medallion. Former Clark County judge Clementine “Tiny” Barthold and William “Bill” Ryall, retired Army colonel and longtime IU Southeast tennis coach, are this year’s recipients.

The Chancellor’s Medallion is the highest honor presented by the Chancellor of Indiana University Southeast. It is given to individuals who are rendering distinguished service to the university and to the community, freely giving their talents in the promotion of human welfare and community well-being, and – through their integrity, leadership, and commitment – serving as models for students and alumni of IU Southeast.

Proceeds from the Chancellor’s Medallion Dinner go to the Chancellor’s Medallion Leadership Scholarship program. The scholarships recognize students for participation and leadership in academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and community volunteerism.

The four scholarship recipients have shown great leadership in their time at the University.
