IU Southeast students ready to head back to campus for fall semester

NEW ALBANY, IN, (Aug. 20, 2013) – Indiana University Southeast students are getting ready to fill lodges and classrooms across campus with the start of the fall 2013 semester.

Move-in day for students living on campus is Thursday, Aug. 22. Student Induction Day for incoming freshman and transfer students is Friday, Aug. 23. Fall 2013 classes begin Monday, Aug. 26.

  • About 400 students will fill the lodges from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Move-in Day this Thursday. Students moving into the north side Lodges (Forest, Woodland, and Meadow) will check in at Meadow Lodge. Students living in the south side Lodges (Orchard and Grove) will check in at the IU Southeast Activities Building.
  • All first-year and transfer students are invited to Induction Day from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. this Friday. Students will meet faculty in their school, go to the Student Involvement Fair and Orientation Picnic, and participate in the Induction Ceremony.
  • Monday, Aug. 26 marks the first day of the fall semester. It’s also the beginning of Week of Welcome with events for new students including free lunches, live music, social activities and more!
