International flicks the focus of IU Southeast film festival

NEW ALBANY, IN, (Feb. 14, 2013) – Make a movie date with the Indiana University Southeast  Department of Modern Languages this weekend.

The department is hosting the 14th annual International Film Festival Thursday-Sunday, Feb. 14-17 in the Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center Recital Hall at IU Southeast.

The festival includes a diverse variety of movies in languages like Japanese, German, and French. All the movies include English subtitles and will be shown completely free of charge.

One film will be shows each day of the festival at 7 p.m. It begins Thursday with the Japanese samurai comedy Yojimbo. Friday’s movie is Jesus de Montreal, a French film. The German film Cherry Blossoms will run on Saturday and Sunday will end the film festival with Machuca, a Latin American heart-warming drama.
