NEW ALBANY, IN (July 31, 2012) - Register now for the fall 2012 semester at Indiana University Southeast.Classes are filling up fast, but we still have spots available for the fall semester. The application deadline for new students is Friday, Aug. 17 and classes begin on Monday, Aug. 27.

IU Southeast students and faculty share reactions from trip to Cuba

NEW ALBANY, IN (July 25, 2012) - Sixteen Indiana University Southeast students and two professors traveled to Cuba in June as part of a study abroad opportunity.They spent three weeks traveling the island country as the capstone of the Cuba in Transition course taught by IU Southeast Professor of Political Science Cliff Staten.

IU Southeast begins cadet/officer program

NEW ALBANY, IN, (July 19, 2012) – Indiana University Southeast is looking for a good cadet. The Indiana University Police Department is bringing the Cadet/Officer Program to the IU Southeast campus. The program gives current students the ability to gain law enforcement experience while working at the University Police department.

Watkins named president of IU Southeast Alumni Association

NEW ALBANY, IN, (July 17, 2012) – Indiana University Southeast alumnus John Watkins has been named the new president of the IU Southeast Alumni Association (IUSAA) for 2012-13. Watkins, who will lead the IUSAA Board of Directors, graduated from IU Southeast in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education. He has worked at New Hope Services, Inc. since 1981 and is currently the support services manager.

IU Southeast names 2012 Chancellor’s Medallion honorees

NEW ALBANY, IN, (July 11, 2012) – Indiana University Southeast is proud to announce the recipients of the 2012 Chancellor’s Medallion. Donald McMahel, longtime music educator, and Michael Naville, attorney and managing partner at Lorch & Naville, will be honored Oct. 27 at the 2012 Chancellor’s Medallion Dinner at Horseshoe Southern Indiana.

IU Southeast computer science professor selected as Fulbright Scholar

NEW ALBANY, IN, (July 5, 2012) – Indiana University Southeast Professor of Computer Science Joseph Hollingsworth has been selected as a 2012-13 Fulbright Scholar.

IU Southeast Alumni Association offers $10,000 in student scholarships

NEW ALBANY, IN, (July 3, 2012) – The alumni of Indiana University Southeast are “passing it forward” with the introduction of six new scholarships for IU Southeast students. The IU Southeast Alumni Association will award a $1,000 scholarship to one student in each of the University’s six schools or divisions. In addition, the Association will once again provide four student athletes with a $1,000 scholarship – an annual gift awarded by the Association. The scholarships are available for the 2012-13 school year.
