NEW ALBANY, IN (March 10, 2011) – Two IU Southeast professors recently celebrated the release of their latest book chronicling the lives of Indiana’s 106 Supreme Court justices.

Justices of the Indiana Supreme Court, edited by IU Southeast journalism professor Jim St. Clair and political science professor emerita Linda Gugin, is now available from the Indiana Historical Society Press. Two other IU Southeast faculty members, political science professor Tom Kotulak and history professor James Beeby, wrote essays which are included in the book.

In addition to Kotulak and Beeby, 70 other authors delve into the lives of the Indiana Supreme Court justices from the first justices of Indiana statehood to their contemporary counterparts. The book also includes photographs from previously unpublished family collections. Chief Justice of the United States John G. Roberts, Jr., wrote the book’s introduction.

Courts in the Classroom, the Supreme Court’s education outreach program, partnered with the Indiana Historical Society Press to publish the book. It is available at the Indiana Historical Society for $37.95.
